I started PT with Aaron 3 months ago. Very quickly I noticed my size and shape changing and I felt stronger and fitter. I am delighted with the progress I have made in a short period of time. I now train in a small group with a maximum of 3 of us at any time. I actually find this even more motivational. Sometimes we do the same training, other times Aaron gives us an individual plan. Either way he always caters to our needs. Training is hard as Aaron works to get the most out of us but it is also varied and enjoyable and the results are certainly worth the hard work. On my own I would never achieve the same results - thank you so much Aaron for your encouragement and helping me get this far. I am looking forward to the next 3 months.

Strength and Conditioning, Performance, Corrective and Injury Rehab Specialist

I was first introduced to sport when I was about 6.  I started playing football with a friend from down the road and my older brother.  I was then lucky enough to play in the FA cup for my home town team Hadleigh United when I was 17.  Having been football mad for so long, when I got to University to study Sport and Exercise Science, I thought I’d try my hand at something else, so started to play Rugby League.  I quickly progressed into the Nottingham Trent University 1st Team, and stayed there for my three years as a student.  As part of our first team training, we got additional Strength and Conditioning training, and when I finished my degree, was lucky enough to be accepted onto an Accelerated Instructor Development Coaching programme at the University.  This involved offering Strength and Conditioning support to the Elite Sports teams at the University.  This gave me an insight into what actually goes into planning and delivering a session, be it to a squad of players or to an individual.  Having gained qualifications in Personal Training, Performance Enhancement and Corrective Exercise, I am now looking to gain accreditation from the UK Strength and Conditioning Association and become a Strength and Conditioning coach.

During my time as a Strength and Conditioning intern at Nottingham Trent University, I was part of a team of coaches that helped the University achieve one of its best sporting seasons in its 19 year history as a University, in particular the teams we provided support to.

However, I’m not all about elite level coaching!  I find that helping anyone to achieve their goals is rewarding, so whether you’re a complete beginner, or looking to gain that extra 1% to help pursue your career in a sporting profession, I can help.

I also specialise in Corrective Exercise.  This can range anywhere from a sporting injury such as a sprain, to common workplace overuse injuries, such as lower back pain from something as simple as sitting at a desk all day.  I not only assist in rehab, but also try to focus on something I like to call prehab.  If I can help prevent an injury before it has happened, it will help out a whole lot more than helping you to recover from an injury, as it is hard to completely repair an old injury (those of you who have suffered from ankle sprains will know they are never the same again!)

If you have any goals, no matter how broad or narrow they are, or are in need of injury rehab, or want to prepare for an event please email me at nickbarraclough@aarontyler.co.uk
