The day after I was aching all over, thats the sign of a great workout! Very enjoyable session with good instruction and I worked harder than i would at my usual gym session.

James StaRK 
Strength, Hypertrophy and Core Conditioning Specialist

James is a highly passionate sportsmen who has dedicated his life around sport and the health and fitness industry. From the age of two years old James was introduced to equestrian sports, where he was very successful competing for his Country, Great Britain and at the age of 17 won the World U18 Pairs Champion within the Mounted Games Association.

He also played football until the ages of 14 and was involved in the Bristol City football academy, which soon led to an offer to join Plymouth Argyle as a youngster in their academy. During secondary school James discovered his passion for rugby, where he found his future sporting ambition.

James then continued his education at Millfield Senior School where he received a rugby scholarship whilst studying his 4 A-Levels. James then went on to study a degree in Sport and Exercise Science at the University of Exeter, playing rugby for the University 1st XV as well as being approached by Bridgwater and Albion RFC to sign a two-year semi-professional contract. He was then approached by Clifton RFC to join them, who he currently plays for.

After graduating from University James worked full time for a private medical company, Emergency Response Systems gaining a certificate in advanced first aid.

James has a Diploma in Advanced Personal Training (through Premier Training International) and is also a qualified nutrition advisor. He is always looking to develop his personal knowledge/skills and is looking to specialise in Strength and Conditioning. James is currently training a number of elite athletes including rugby, football and tennis players.

Whatever YOUR personal goals are, James would be an asset in helping you achieve them. If you are new to physical activity or you are an elite athlete, mental and physically adaptations are always achievable!    

 

Running Club

The next course starts on 1st June and lasts for 15 weeks. It is perfectly formatted to get you 100% ready for the 2011 Bristol Half Marathon regardless of whether you are a beginner or more experienced. Limited spaces! More >
