The Client Experience
Pre-Screening Questionnaire
Prior to your first meeting with one of our Personal Trainers you will be asked to complete a Health and Fitness Questionnaire. The questionnaire provides your trainer with an insight into your Lifestyle, Fitness History and your reasons for seeking a Personal Trainer. Click here to download a copy of the questionnaire.
Health and Fitness Screening
In your initial assessment we follow a set procedure. Our aim is to get a full picture of your exercise and health history, successes and failures that you may have had and to better understand you and your needs. Your initial assessment will include:
- Body Composition Analysis-– Body Fat Percentage and Muscle Mass
- Blood Pressure and Resting Heart Rate
- Postural and Dynamic Movement Assessment
- Muscle Balance Investigation
- Sub-Maximal Cardiovascular Analysis
- Core Strength Tests
- Range of Movement Assessment
- Nutrition and Stress Patterns
Goal Setting
Your trainer will use their experience and expertise to assist you in developing an overall goal for you to achieve that includes a succession of smaller milestones which we use to monitor your progress. Our trainers' experience will mean that the goals set down for you to achieve are SMART: Specific, Measurable, Ambitious, Realistic, Time Constrained
The Training Programme
We have developed many different training programmes for many unique clients. Each programme is designed specifically with you in mind. Training focuses on getting you the results you deserve and we use many different training methods to achieve this.
Programmes can last anywhere from just 6 weeks to 6 months or even a year (we also operate one off training sessions for those who are in Bristol for a short period). It depends entirely upon you and your ambitions.
When based indoors we work from a private gym, with fantastic facilities, at The Berkeley Centre in Berkeley Square, Clifton (just at the top of Park Street). Many of our clients training programmes also require them to train outside where there is more space for running, jumping and throwing.
Sessions last for an hour and are designed to maximise that time and maximise your results. Clients train with their trainer once, twice or three times per week (and occasionally slightly less or more often).
Results
Your programme will be constantly referred to by your trainer. Your overall objectives and smaller milestones will be monitored and assessed at frequent intervals (every 4-6 weeks). By doing this we are able to ensure that you are progressing as expected and any amendments made as necessary.
